The movie centers on little girl Mariah, who dreams of getting a dog for Christmas after seeing a puppy named Princess at the local pet store. In order to get Princess, though, Mariah must prove she can pet-sit Jack, a rather unruly dog who turns Mariah and her family's holiday preparations upside down.
